What data sources do you use?

CDL uses geoLOGIC’s geoSCOUT for its mapping software. GeoLOGIC’s data (well header, production, land, pressure, fluids) are used in our articles and summaries. Well completions data are from geoLOGIC’s Well Completions & Frac Database. Play definitions and play assignments are done in-house. EURs are forecasted in-house and hosted in CDL’s Catalyst Play Evaluation platform.

A short (~500 words) article takes about three days to research and write and a further two days to draft, layout and proofread.

The Digest staff includes several experienced geologists, an engineer, two graphics designers, a cartographer and occasional guest writers.
