This study reviewed the potential of the Belly River Formation as a water source for injection into the Viking at Redwater, Alberta. It also investigated whether there is hydraulic communication between shallow freshwater aquifers and the Basal Belly River at Redwater. Deliverables include hydraulic head maps, pressure vs elevation plots and total dissolved solids vs elevation graphs. A geological bedrock map shows that the Belly River is at subcrop throughout the study area, and therefore, has direct communication with overlying freshwater-charged Quaternary sediments.
